Progress photos are only available for custom orders. Pictures will be sent periodically when there is a major update or if I need your input on specific details.

I only work with original blank vinyl kits, which may include a belly plate or vinyl torso. The bodies are made of fabric, except for full-vinyl jointed bodies. Finished dolls are weighted using fiberfill and micro-glass beads, and heads may include neodymium magnets for a magnetic pacifier.

• Paint: Genesis heat-set paints combined with IRHSP mediums.
• Hair rooting: Various trusted brands depending on the desired effect, with my favorites being Ju&Na, HP Babylocks, and alpaca hair.

A prototype reborn doll is the first sample created for a newly launched sculpt. When a sculptor finishes a new clay design, a factory makes a mold and produces a very limited batch of vinyl kits (usually 1 to 6) as initial samples.

The sculptor sends these blank kits to selected artists who paint, assemble, and photograph them to promote the new sculpt before it goes on general sale. Prototypes are typically released months before regular kits become available.

While it depends on the artist, prototypes are often true one-of-a-kind pieces, as the artist usually will not replicate that exact paint and hair combination again.

Yes, portrait dolls are possible. However, please keep in mind that this is entirely handcrafted work, so it will never look an exact match to a photograph or match a specific shade down to the exact detail, but a very close and realistic resemblance can be achieved.

These are collector's items and are not designed for play or intended for children. They should be handled with care as delicate art pieces.

• Handling & Oils: Natural skin oils can cause the vinyl to develop shiny spots or wear down the paint over time. Consider wearing cotton gloves if you handle your doll frequently.
• Clothing: Dress and undress the doll carefully. To protect the vinyl, always put clothes on and take them off from the feet up rather than over the head, which also helps preserve the rooted hair. Avoid dark clothing (such as deep reds, navy blues, blacks, or dark greens) unless you use a light-colored protective undershirt, as dark dyes can stain the vinyl.
• Hair Care: Avoid hats or headbands for extended periods. If using hats on rooted hair dolls, lining the head with a thin plastic bag is recommended. Do not wash the rooted hair with soap or brush it constantly; you can lightly mist it with water when styling or use a clean makeup brush to gently remove dust.

The price of the dolls varies depending on several factors, such as the kit itself, whether it is a newly released prototype, the type of hair (rooted or painted), the size, the paintwork, and the sculptor.

Roughly speaking, prices for a rooted-hair reborn doll generally range from €1,400 to €2,800. Custom orders have separate pricing, as they are fully personalized pieces that require extra time and a more detailed process.
